Whew! It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to get on here & write to you all. For those of you who are new here, Marco & I had our first baby boy, Liam on September 30, 2021. Life hasn’t been the same since. It’s been a beautiful, crazy, roller coaster and we are adjusting slowly.
The Bittersweet Decision
First things first. After not being able to work very much in Italy with the pandemic we decided it would be best to leave our beloved Italy & go to Florida (where I’m from). It was a bittersweet decision because even though all of my family is in Florida and it’s much easier for me to get around in the US, I love Italy so much and I adore all of my husband’s family. I was finally starting to get the hang of life in Italy and it felt like it was being taken away from me. In the end, it was the best decision for our family, whether I liked it or not.
Heading to Florida
Next, we ended up filing for Marco’s green card in Italy. I decided to get a jump start on my new career in Florida so we would be ready to work once we were approved to go. I started studying to become a real estate agent and I took my first course and passed. Hooray! I was getting ready to take my SUPER hard exam, so Marco, Liam, and I (it’s still so crazy there are 3 of us now!) came to vacation in Florida while I did all of the pre-requisites, and attempted to pass.
Success!
Long story short, I passed my exam and joined Coldwell Banker. I am officially a realtor and working with an amazing team, The Lutz-Harrison Group! These women are rock star realtor professionals who have taken me under their wings to help me fly! With that being said, I still love traveling and as a realtor, I get to connect with people every day in multiple locations. I will be featuring more places to visit in the US (specifically Florida) while we are here. I guess now we could be called ItalygoestoUSA. Since we will be back & forth, you get even more variety in travel highlights!
